Citizen Watchdog Guo Yongfeng's House Searched and Family Threatened
Self-appointed citizen government watchdog Guo Yongfeng today at 9 a.m.
had 8 officials from the Shenzhen Bureau of Civil Affairs search his
house. Two computers were confiscated and Guo, his wife, and his
daughter were interrogated.
Guo Yongfeng was warned that he is not permitted to continue his supervisory activities or his freedom would be jeopardized.
Guo Yongfeng has in recent years published a large quantity of
commentaries on contemporary politics. The persecution of him
illustrates that the Communist Party feels pressure from online
commentary.
